Clock in and out
Start and end your shift on the office iPad in seconds using your 4-digit PIN.
You clock in and out on the office iPad by tapping in your 4-digit PIN. The iPad knows whether you're starting or ending your shift, so most of the time it's one step — type your PIN and you're done.
Clock in for your shift
- 1
Tap in your PIN
On the iPad's number pad, tap your 4 digits. The dots fill in as you go — there's no Enter button, it submits on the fourth digit.
- 2
See your confirmation
A green screen shows your first name, Clocked In, and the time. That's your proof it worked. The screen closes on its own after a few seconds and returns to the number pad for the next person.
Clock out at the end of your shift
- 1
Tap in your PIN
Tap your 4 digits again. Because you're already clocked in, the iPad asks what you'd like to do.
- 2
Tap Clock Out
Tap the red Clock Out button. (The other button, Start Break, is for lunch — see *Take a lunch or break*.)
- 3
See your confirmation
The green screen shows your name, Clocked Out, and the time. You're done for the day.
A little early or late is fine
Clock in when you arrive — you don't have to wait for the exact minute your shift starts. If you're early or stay late, the iPad still records it; your admin reviews any extra time before it's added to your pay.
Feel the buzz
The iPad gives a short vibration when your punch goes through. In a noisy room, that's an easy way to know it worked even if you don't catch the screen.
